It's 6 a.m. as I sit here, so am no...Hello Stephen,<br />It's 6 a.m. as I sit here, so am not "up to snuff" in terms of processing information, but I enjoyed a brief read of this blog entry and your thoughts on our school system. The reason I am writing though, is that my name is Carol Murgatroyd. I'm wondering if you have researched your family tree. I would hazard a "yes." I have done some limited research myself, in England, and came up against a bit of a brick wall some years ago. I'm poised to jump into cyber investigation, but haven't as yet. My grandfather, Gerard Murgatroyd, lived in Knutsford briefly, before his father died at 41. My great-great grandfather was Squire Murgatroyd and lived in Manchester. I guess it's a little silly of me to send you this note, but there are so few of us in Canada...none in Montreal where I live.. that it's too tempting.
